We are reaching for the stars and together we might just get there. Open communication, asking hard questions and valuing diverse viewpoints are but a few things that will help us achieve our goals. Above all we will never stop learning and striving to help each other reach our maximum potential.

In this role, you will shape and implement Wingtra’s policy and compliance strategy. This means you strategize with the CTO and the CPO (Chief Product Officer,) network with industry stakeholders and regulators, and go deep with your team to solve the hard problems - such that flying Wingtra drones stays safe and easy for our customers. This role can be pursued preferably from Switzerland, but also remotely as long as sufficient time zones overlap with the headquarters in Switzerland, and a regular willingness to travel is secured.

Responsibilities

  • Determine and implement Wingtra’s strategy in the following domains: policy (how to to legally operate drones in the future), regulatory (how to legally operate drones), and product compliance (enable our partners to legally sell products compliant with local market requirements).
  • Monitor and shape standardization developments - identify and prioritize involvement into standardization bodies, and coordinate technical work packages.
  • Monitor and influence policy developments - incl. leveraging existing lobbying groups and like-minded industry stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration, open communication, and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Understand and challenge strategic priorities of our company and develop the team to be ready for future challenges (developing skills, hiring).

Requirements

  • Engineering education and / or work experience.
  • Proven experience in the regulatory or standardization field in the UAV industry.
  • Existing network in the UAV industry and with US / EU regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA).
  • Proven leadership, team building, communication and recruiting skills with a humble attitude that puts the team first.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional environment.

If you enjoy teamwork more than being the individual superhero, and if you thrive in a feedback-driven culture and an exciting, unconventional yet structured and progressive start-up environment, we would love to hear from you.
